"Possession"

This painting was an enjoyable waltz with no preconceived idea of where it would all end up. I just went straight onto the canvas with a brush, no guidelines or purpose in mind with the guy appearing first. He looked pretty menacing, so the addition of a woman later just seemed to heighten the drama.

I like the way some paintings can sometimes have their own voice. I felt like I was interupting something when I looked at it after completion. He doesn't seem to want us hanging around..
